Bentonite clay is a mud-like element that originated from volcanic ash. It is also used in the personal care industry as a face mask. With its moisturizing effects, bentonite clay may also remove excess dirt and oil. You can use the mask as a shampoo and conditioner all in one.

Bentonite Clay is a mineral-rich, highly absorbent, and naturally detoxifying clay formed from aged volcanic ash. Widely used in routine life skincare, Bentonite Clay is known for its exceptional ability to draw out toxins, impurities, and excess oil from deep within the pores. Its powerful cleansing and purifying action makes it ideal for oily, acne-prone, and congested skin. Smooth in texture and gentle on application, this clay tightens enlarged pores, reduces breakouts, and improves overall skin clarity.

Bentonite Clay blends beautifully into face masks, scrubs, soaps, cleansers, body wraps, bath powders, and many DIY skincare formulations. Rich in natural minerals like magnesium, calcium, iron, and silica, it helps rejuvenate and replenish dull skin. Its soothing and cooling nature helps calm irritation, balance oil production, and refine skin texture without drying the skin excessively. In haircare, Bentonite Clay removes buildup, detoxifies the scalp, and leaves hair soft and refreshed.

Bentonite Clay before applying. Use 2%–30% in DIY skincare such as face masks, scrubs, soaps, cleansers, or body packs. For a classic detox mask, mix the clay with rose water, aloe gel, or plain water using a non-metal bowl. Apply a thin layer to clean skin, let it dry halfway, then rinse with lukewarm water. Avoid letting the clay crack completely, as it may overly dry the skin. In haircare, blend with water or apple cider vinegar for a scalp detox. Avoid using undiluted. Regular use promotes clearer, smoother, and refreshed skin.

Bentonite clay can offer deep moisture. It can be extremely helpful if you have a dry scalp, dry or damaged hair, dizziness, heat damage, lack of shine, etc.

Bentonite clay has various healing properties for the body. The clay is used as an alternative medicine to reduce digestive issues, bug bites, dry skin, etc.
