How Bel Patra is known in your area?

  • Bel fruit is called Vilva Palam in Tamil, bel in Hindi, maredu in Telugu.
  • For skin rashes, mix 30ml of bay leaf juice, cumin with bael juice and drink it twice a day to cure urticaria. It is also beneficial for skin rash and its symptoms like pale red raised itchy bumps. For juice, add a little water to the scooped out the pulp and let it soak for a few hours.
  • Due to the presence of the anti-bacterial properties in bael, it is highly effective against skin infections, cures many skin disorders, and promotes skin health. The antimicrobial nature of the plant treats various scalp and hair infections like folliculitis, itching, and dandruff. It nourishes the hair follicles with required nutrients, improves blood circulation, and strengthens the hair.
  • Bael also exhibits certain side effects like any other fruit. Since the fruit is useful to lower diabetes, overconsumption of bael along with other diabetes supplements may cause your blood sugar level to drop too low. As the fruit is high on tannins, excessive consumption of it over a prolonged period without a doctor’s consultation may cause your body to exhibit carcinogenic properties.
